12. Project/Activity summary (Titles: objectives, activities, achievements):

The Estonian researchers have been consulted in connection with training visits and by phone and telefax. They have received scientific literature. Finnish experts have made two consultation visits to the Occupational Health Centre in Tallinn.

A sub-project "Work Conditions and Work Ability of Tallinn Bus Drivers" has conducted in Tallinn as a part of the project.

The Estonian experts Milvi Moks, Ahe Vilkis, Virve Sui and Raija Riisalu participated in the IEA´97 -conference of International Ergonomics Association in Tampere 1997 with papers: Virve Sui, Milvi Moks: "Ergonomic problems of bus drivers in Tallinn"

Raija Riisalu, Milvi Moks: "The health and work conditions of bus drivers experienced inTallinn". Mauno Ahonen, Virve Sui: "Ergonomic characteristics of bus cabins in Tallinn" Ahe Vilkis, Milvi Moks: "The work ability of Tallinn policemen; Heart rate variability in relation of autonomic dysfunction of nervous system"

Milvi Moks, Researcher, from Estonian Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine visited the Laboratory of Work Physiology of the FIOH in 26-27.08.1997.

An Ergonomic Seminar were organized 9.12.1998 in Tallinn with 49 occupational health professionals and work site designers of different enterprises.

A seminar "Ergonomics and Prevention of Musculosceletal Injures" were organized 19-20.10.1999 in Tallinn by the project team in cooperation with the Department of Occupational Medicine of FIOH, for 22 work health professionals.

Physicians Hedy-Reet Übner and Heiki Annik, which have had contributions to the Occupational Health Centre in Tallinn, participated in the three weeks course "Advanced Course in Ergonomics" Nov.1999-Feb. 2000 in Finland.
